Echinocereus species

We've never had the species name on this plant. It came without a tag and we haven't ever had the time (or drive) to do the research to determine the species. We're pretty sure, but we don't put a species name on a tag until we're more than "pretty sure". In the meantime we just enjoy the flowers it produces every year.
Enjoy your plants!

    1. Thanks for your input. That's what our guess has been, except for the flower being a bit different from others we've had. Instead of coming to a point at the tip of the petals, they are frilled. I assume there's some variability in this regard.

  2. Hello,
in fact I noticed the peculiarities of the petals in the photograph. They are very interesting but I do not think that, on this basis, can be changed the species name to the plant.
    Best regards
P.S. Sorry for the Anonymous comment, but I didn't have a Google account.

    1. Hi Nicola,
We agree, and would never suggest that it might be a new species. We purchased it unlabeled and we have assumed that it might be a cultivar or some such that we aren't familiar with. Thanks for your input.
