Haworthia cooperi var. venusta ex GM292

This variant of H. cooperi doesn't grow very large but is quite lovely. Grown from habitat collected seed, this remains quite rare in collections.

Haworthia 'Chocolate'

I think we're finally past the worst of the cold for this winter: No more snow and no more super freezes. The bulbs are blooming and the trees are budding out. And, we're not going to need to heat the greenhouses much longer! :) In the meantime, here's a nice, easy to grow cultivar, which is really true to its name. Or maybe I'm just hungry.

I just felt it was time for a break. A couple of images from the beautiful Oregon coast.

Albuca species

This is an Albuca species showing off it's intriguing flowers. These are among my favorite succulent bulbs for pot culture. They're easy, and they're cool.

Echeveria 'Pinky'

The weather has changed from the super cold with snow to mild (50+F) with periods of heavy rain, separated by periods of sun. In the Northwestern U.S (Oregon & Washington), these are called "sun breaks". I haven't had much time to take photos so this is from our photo archives, taken about 4 years ago. Enjoy.

Osita & Ladybug in the snow

Ever since Osita was a puppy she's considered Ladybug to be her closest buddy. Tonight was no exception. Snow and ice, no matter, gotta go over and rub noses (or in Osita's case, lick noses). We had 3.25 inches (8.25 cm.) of snow and it's about 21F (-6.11C).
But, this is Oregon. Back to springtime next week, with warmer temperatures and rain.
