Crassula capitella subsp. thyrisiflora

It was a lovely day today, nice enough to sit out on the deck for an afternoon drink today. I also gave me an opportunity to set up the tripod and get some photography done. This is a close-up of Crassula capitella subsp. thyrisiflora showing its wonderful symmetry. Now, of course, this is very much a close-up! This is a small plant.
Enjoy your plants!

  2. Looks almost like jewelry. Succulents are such a hot item these days...I have bought many that have little or no identification. Can you recommend a good pictorial encyclopedia for these plants?

  3. Hi Fredricka,

"Succulents: The Illustrated Dictionary" and "Succulents II: The New Illustrated Dictionary" are both excellent books of this sort. Some of the names are outdated, but it's a very useful basic ID book. There's also "Cacti: Over 1200 Species illustrated and Identified". These *are out of print and can be a bit expensive used, but...If you live near a cactus & succulent society, they might have a club library from which members can borrow these books.
