Jatropha berlandieri

We've always had a soft spot for this odd little creature...Jatropha berlandieri, It's just coming out of dormancy for us and grows it's green growth very rapidly at this time of year.
I'll be trying to get some new photos soon as I'm now feeling a lot better.

  2. Hi Rika. I'll still be restricted as to how much I can lift for about 6 months, but hey, it's a small price to pay. I hope your friends in Japan came through the earthquake and tsunami OK. We had a package of plants on route to Japan at the time, but they arrived OK and the people receiving them are also OK with no damage in their area. Always good to hear from you.

  3. Oops! I meant to say 6 *weeks*, not 6 months!

  4. Hello Luther
6 weeks are nothing. The main thing is you feel better now :)

Yes, everyone I know seems to be okay, too. Watching the news it looks like whole Japan is in ruins, but the more southern area went through this much better than the regions near Tokyo.

  5. Hi Rika,
Good to hear your friends are OK. I know. The news can make it look like it's the whole of Japan. My most recent Japanese customer lives to the south of Tokyo, and though the quakes continue to bother her, there was no damage.

Yes, the biggest problem following this kind of surgery is the restriction on lifting anything more than a gallon jug of milk, even when you're feeling perfectly fine...:]

  6. Wow! I have never seen this type of Jatropha before! Can it produce Jatropha Oil like Curacus Lin?
