Haven't had much time to do much photography lately. I haven't even felt like it. May was the third rainiest May on record and it was pouring for the last couple of days...until today, when it suddenly decided to be summer for a day! Had to get the lawn mowed quickly, before the rain returns tomorrow. Yuk.
All the more reason to set aside these days: June 18, 19 and 20. Those are the days for the first summer Show and Sale of the Oregon Cactus & Succulent Society. Where? Portland Nursery on SE Division. We'll be under the big awning on the new parking lot. We'll be there. NW Cactus & Succulents will be there. And at least one other private vendor will be there. 15% of the sales goes to support the activities of the society. So, if you're in the vicinity, drop on buy (oops! I meant to say "by", but "buy" works too!). We'd love to see you. And if you want to fly in from a farther away, that's OK too :)
Hopefully, it won't be raining then. Some places pray for rain. We pray for sun!

ReplyDeleteI would like to visit you there but it is so so far from me. Please take the photos of this event. Photos are enough for me. Here is taking too much rains in last a few days but everything is normal for now. I hope you have a fun and lovely event in Portland.

Thanks Zeynep. It's still raining here and we hope(!) that summer will actually show itself by then. In the meantime it's "pot up plants" time for both of us - almost continuously for the next week. Of course I'll post photos!
ReplyDeleteLuther - I am NEW to succulents...not a big budget or much space. Where in Portland are you located? I need some hanads on help learning etc...and questions to ask. Is there a succulents/Cacti society in the area?
