Epicactus 'Madeline'

This is a fantastic, easy to grow epi, which flowers readily every Spring.

X Aporophyllum 'Moonlight'

 

 It is indeed spring, no less in the greenhouses than outdoors. 'Moonlight' is blooming like mad right now.

Of course, the plant itself - as with most Aporophyllum hybrids - isn't very exciting.

Epicactus 'Delicate Jewels'

These aren't the great big huge flowers one comes to expect with the epicacti. They're quite small in fact, and - as the name implies - a bit delicate.

Epicactus 'Madelyn'

Day two of Epicactus, this time it's large-flowering 'Madeline', one of our old time favorites. I understand it's a French hybrid, and it produces truly magnificent flowers. The color of the yellow will vary depending on the light but it's always very impressive.

Epicactus 'Clown'

It took quite a few years after we purchased this plant before it bloomed, but now it blooms reliably every year. And what a beaut!

Our epicacti are really blooming like mad right now, so guess what I'll be posting for the next few nights. And, during the day, I hope to get the garden area tilled. Anyone want to help?!?

Epicactus 'Madeline'

From the start let me affirm that we are not a nursery that raises jungle cacti for the market. But though our emphasis has always been on plants from more arid lands, we just can't resist a good Epi. This is Epicactus 'Madeline' and each year it catches us off guard. We don't even notice the buds, and then - wham - it's "in your face" beautiful!
