Lithops lesliei minor 'Witblom' C6A

Time for the next batch of Lithops, this time Lithops lesliei minor 'Witblom' C006a. These are two-three year old plants which will exhibit their white flowers, along with most of the other Lithops, this fall. In the meantime the leaves will have a chance to grow a bit larger during our moderately warm summer.

And speaking of weather, we finally had our first day which reached into the 80s F on Saturday.  Today we were in the low 70sF and will probably be back into the 60sF by Monday. That's Oregon for you.

Late winter snow!

Wow! We must have been greeted with almost an inch of snow this morning! From the newscasts one would think we were approach a monumental winter catastrophe. We're such wimps here in Portland. The doctor's office even called to cancel my appointment because many of the workers couldn't make it in!!! I couldn't believe it.

Oh well, it's enough for me. It makes it look pretty for an hour or two and then goes away. And the flowers can continue to push their colorful heads up through the newly defrosted ground. In spite of the snow, Spring is coming on fast!

Back at ya!

Well, it's over. It was overcast, cool and at times very rainy. But we made it through the cactus & succulent society sale still kickin' and screamin'. (We set a record for the most rain in June by the middle of the month! And we finally hit 80 degrees F at the latest date ever. If you have access to the gods of weather, please ask for a little of our normal summer weather!)
