Lithops optica var. rubra

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately; it's been a little hectic. These are some seedlings of Lithops optica 'Rubra' that are beginning to  look really nice.
Our granddaughter from California will be visiting over Thanksgiving and I'm giving a talk on growing succulents to a Garden Club tomorrow. In addition to that, of course, we decided to open the nursery for orders until December 6 and we've been fairly swamped.
Finally, our weather is finally turning cold with our first hard freeze expected this week. Now any money we earn from the nursery sales goes "slurp" to the heating oil man.

    1. Hi Simone. It is a beautiful little plant, isn't it? We tried to ship plants to Brazil before but it didn't work out. For us to ship to Brazil requires that the buyer obtain an import permit from the Brazilian government and provide it to the seller before our agricultural inspector, representing the US federal government, can issue a phytosanitary certificate. Then the plants have to be declared on the customs form and others have told us that the odds of them making it through Brazilian customs are slim at best. Finally, our minimum purchase for shipping to other countries is $350.00 US (due to the extra work involved).
Finally, we don't have any of the Lithops optica 'Rubra' available to sell as yet. Your best option is to buy some seed, sometimes available on E-bay and they will often ship without any customs declaration. Later. (Enjoy your posts.)
