Echeveria 'Blue Curls'

Well, it's pretty obvious how they came up with the name for this plant! 'Blue Curls' is always in great demand.

One of the problems with Echeverias as a nursery is that we can never keep them in stock. Their popularity in South Korea and Japan is fantastic. Lynn-Marie propagates like mad, but it begins to wear her out at about this time of year. And besides, she's an artist, and she needs to be working on her art!

  2. That's unfortunate. There aren't too many nurseries here in the U.S. who are selling them either. We're one of the few growing named cultivars and hybrids, and we're *really small. One of the largest nurseries is in New Zealand, but it's often out of stock due to the demand from South Korea and Japan. We do sell overseas (S. Korea, Japan and France so far), but it can be expensive. We had one inquiry from Brazil, but the customs regulations just became too difficult.

  3. It is possible to import and export plants back and forth between Canada and the US, but they don't make it very easy, with phytosanitary certificates and inspections. I wish it was easier, as I always see Echeveria that I really want!

  4. Yes, it should be easier than it is. It should be at least as easy as it is within the E.U. As it is however, there's the phyto - $31.00 - and shipping. At least for Canada you wouldn't have to pay for Express mail- just priority mail - and it a heat pack may be needed, depending on where and the time of year.
